Go to Teen Ink and read a few memoirs (new ones are posted every day). Choose one that you really like, and write a review of the memoir.

Your review should include:
The title and author of the memoir
A brief synopsis (summary) of what the memoir is about
A description of the elements of craft used by the author (simile, metaphor, alliteration, personification, etc)
A description of the sensory details used by author
End with a few sentences about why you liked it and why you think other people should read it, comparing it to another author's work with which you are familiar. (For example: If you love the Dragonspell books, you'll love this memoir because the author uses a similar fast-paced style of writing and thought-provoking metaphors.)
